Welcome to Bourne End & Cookham Rotary Club

We are a busy and thriving club. Not only do we have active Rotarians (who yearly raise more than £30,000 !) but we have a great family of Rotarians with The Inner Wheel, Rotaract, Interact and a brilliant bunch of Rotakids! If you want to see the fun side of our club have a look on our facebook page.

Club meetings – We meet at the King’s Head in Little MarlowThese are general meetings, invariably with a speaker, and the President updates everyone on the many activities this club is involved in, as well as keeping informed of Rotary activity in the area / county / country and also info of world wide issues. It is also a great way to meet others on an informal basis and have the chance to vote on funding charities and organizing events.

Rotary’s main objective is service – Have a look at this Video — in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world share a dedication to the ideal of Service Above Self. Rotary clubs are open to people of all cultures and ethnicities and are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations. Have a look at the Rotary International website, where you can find out more about the global organisation. Or see what goes on in Great Britain and Ireland.   Rotary Clubs are divided into areas or zones, we are in district 1090 which covers the Thames Valley area Oxfordshire, South Bucks and West Middlesex, some 58 clubs with 2000 active members.
